SHEIKHUPURA: Four children drowned in two separate incidents in the district on Monday.

In one incident, eight-year-old Abdullah and his seven-year-old friend Zain had gone bathing in a pond in a fish farm in Narang Mandi. Both minors drowned and their bodies were recovered by locals.

In the other incident, brothers Jan Muhammad, 11, and Own Muhammad, 9, had gone swimming in a canal near their village, Bhagianwala. Both of them drowned and their bodies were recovered by rescuers.

SIALKOT: A minor girl drowned in a Sem Nullah in village Chiyaanwali-Satrah, Daska tehsil, on Monday.

Three-year-old Mariyam was passing along the banks of the nullah when she slipped into it and drowned due to its fast flow.
