JIT is authentic even any one can say that the whole family of Nawaz is corrupt...I can say it blindly..if they had been in Europr or America,thwy would have been punished long ago.

About time SC convenes a separate JIT to look into Fontgate!

Instead of attacking Microsoft and Wikipedia, please check where the documents/stamp papers were issued from and whether the issuing authority/person possessed the unreleased font. Saying that I am sure the documents were made for cover up and are most probably fake.

Four sure, there are lots of intelligent, smart and intriguing minds in the land of the pure. This glittering example of the usage of the "Calibri font type" pertaining to the substantiating documents submitted by the daughter of the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to JIT is an excellent example of that.as raised in the JIT report casting doubts about its origin and synthesis.

The font was released in 2004 or 2007 did a sister choose to be a trustee for the brother. These things have nothing to do with public money. If you want to prove Nawaz corrupt find the actual corruption or kickback and uncover it. There are so many wealthy families in Pakistan and put anyone's affair under a JIT microscope and there will be technical issues. ha!! this is a weak testimony since there are other credible forensic sources citing ,in their legal testimony fontlab director who designs fonts and are authority in this regard confirms that this font was available outside the windows commercially since 2004 and not after 2007. this is an expert opinion and would counter the forensic report easily since forensics are not expert in font designs

JIT is right - Calibri was formally introduced in Word 2007 on 30th January 2017. It was also included in Windows Vista on launch around November 2016. So JIT is right.

Please do note that this analysis was not carried out by JIT itself but by a reputed forensics company in UK.

I've myself used calibri in the beginning of 2006. Having said that I have no doubt about wrongdoings by Sharif family which is collectively true for 99. 9% elite or ruling class in Pakistan.

Almost every politician in the Indian subcontinent is corrupt and everyone knows that BUT Nawaz Sharif made the unforgivable mistake of getting caught, largely thanks to Wikileaks.

US government recently caught a contractor who printed some documents and shared it with reporters. They were able to catch her because the printer has some yellow dots on the bottom which print time and date as well as the printer the paper was print by. FIA, should look into that also.

@Haal Here's a technical issue. Nawaz was director of a company in Middle east and did not disclose it. This is concealing assets and merits straight forward disqualification. If you voted for him, I respect your vote....but will his voters respect the law or start saying "but IK this" and "Zardari that"? Answer honestly.

Did the JIT follow the procedure in awarding the contract to this laboratory--issuing tender notices, selecting the lowest bidder?

@Teeli Pehelwan So according to the link it was first available in Microsoft Office 2007 which means JIT is correct. Office 2007 was released to public on Jan 30, 2007.

Great catch by JIT investigators. Calibiri has been develooed since 2002 but it was not commercialized until microsoft office 2007 was released.

Yes, calibri was first made available in August 2004, but only to a restricted number of IT programmers/professionals/computer geeks etc. for testing purposes, and only became available for general use in 2007. How many non IT people here have actually even heard of Windows beta let alone use it? Almost every IT professional would tell you that whilst use of calibri font on such a document dating back to 2006 is not impossible, the chances are pretty slim. May be Maryam Nawaz's solicitor was a computer geek who liked working with most advanced software.

@Aamir Raz Since Calibri was a Microsoft owned virtual typeface, first available in Windows Vista (Beta to select software developers only in March 2006!) and available to general public around 30 January 2007, just HOW were you using it in early 2006? More important, Maryam Sharifs documents dated February 2006 in a Microsoft created software product document!

@Mirza Baig Went to that site, nowhere does it show that Calibri was available for anyone to use before the release date, let alone 2005! Windows Vista Beta was finally released to select software designers in March 2006, which is one month AFTER those documents in question are dated!

I guess that font was available with Windows Longhorn which was available on CDs in major Pakistani software selling markets like Rainbow Centre in Karachi. So use of that font is not a surprise or exception for Pakistani users. The markets were flooded with this New Operating system in that era.

Once one develops affiliations with a group or a party, it's then very hard to change one's mind. It's actually wired into our brains to "Go with the group". Is there any logic to "why we support our team against another"?
