SIALKOT: As many as 15 suspects on Sunday attacked the Pasrur Bar Association president and his two lawyer sons with clubs, injuring them critically at Ooncha Paharang village.

Bar head Nasir Khan Sandhu and his sons Irfan Nasir and Usman Nasir were passing through fields when the suspects attacked them with clubs and butts of guns. The injured were admitted to the THQ hospital in a critical condition. The suspects escaped.

Pasrur Saddar police have registered a case against 15 men, including Waris, Chaand, Ali, Arif, Amjad, Zafar and Arshad, with no arrest.

Police said the motive behind the onslaught was a land dispute.

Meanwhile, Pasrur Bar Association in a meeting has condemned the attack on the lawyers and demanded arrest of the suspects at the earliest.

KITE-FLYER DIES: A 13-year-old boy died after falling from rooftop of his house here on Sunday at Tiba Jaaliyaan-Naikapura.

Awab was flying kites on the rooftop when he fell down and died on the spot. He was the lone son of his parents.

ARRESTED: Law-enforcement agencies on Sunday arrested a suspect at Kotli Loharaan near Sialkot during the ongoing search operation.

According to senior officials, the CTD and police arrested Ehsanullah and recovered weapons from his custody.

Earlier, the CTD and police had arrested six suspects, including Afghan nationals Chaman Khan and Noor Khan, during a search operation carried out in various parts of Sialkot city on Saturday night.
