HYDERABAD: Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Sindh general secretary Rashid Mehmood Soomro has said that his party could make seat adjustments with different political parties barring the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) during the 2018 general elections.
Addressing a press conference after chairing a provincial central executive committee meeting here on Tuesday, he said that in next year’s polls, the JUI-F would field its candidates in all the 29 districts of Sindh on all provincial and National Assembly seats.
He stated that the JUI-F differed with the PTI on ideological grounds, claiming that the PTI was part of ‘international powers’ which wanted to do away with the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). Therefore, he said, except for the PTI, his party could make seat adjustments with any other political parties.
He said Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Asif Ali Zardari had decided to contest elections and the JUI-F would field candidates against them. He said that after JUI-F’s decision, the PPP leaders had second thoughts.
