LAHORE: Canadian-Pakistani actress Armeena Khan has been nominated for the Eastern Eye Arts, Theatre & Culture Awards in the category of best actress for her role as Meena in the film Janaan.

The other nominees include Indira Varma for her performance in a drama series and Sanam Saeed for her role in Rahm. The Eastern Eye awards are organised by the Asian Media and Marketing Group, the publishers of Eastern Eye and Garavi Gujarat news weekly.

Armeena has successful drama series Rasme Dunya under her belt in addition to films such as Bin Roye, Janaan and the soon-to-be-released Yalghaar.
