QUETTA: Four security personnel were injured in a landmine explosion in the Dasht area of Mastung district on Monday.

Official sources said that unknown armed men planted a landmine on an under-construction road in the Khand-Marve area of Dasht. It detonated when FC personnel passed through the area in an official vehicle.

The blast left the vehicle damaged and the four FC men travelling in it injured, Levies officials said.

FC personnel deployed in the area rushed to the site and took the injured men to hospital.

The FC men were patrolling the area and guarding labourers and other people working on the road. This is the second landmine explosion over the past 24 hours in the Marget and Dasht areas of Mastung and Bolan districts in which six FC men received injuries.

On Sunday, two FC men were injured when their vehicle collided with a landmine planted by militants.
