Veteran politician Mustafa Khar joins Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf

Malik Ghulam Mustafa Khar on Monday joined Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) after a meeting with party chairman Imran Khan.
"I agree with the PTI's manifesto and its leadership," said the veteran politician while speaking highly of the PTI chairman.
Imran Khan on the occasion welcomed Khar to the party.
Mustafa Khar was famously associated with the PPP as one of its founding members. During Zulfikar Ali Bhutto's government, Khar was appointed the chief minister of Punjab. However, he later fell out of favour with the party's senior leadership and was later associated with the PML-F and the PML-N.
"Imran Khan will lead Pakistan into the future," said Khar, and added, "I will stand side by side with Imran Khan, as he struggles for a new Pakistan".
Earlier today, PPP-Parliamentarians President Asif Ali Zardari made scathing remarks against Imran Khan, while addressing a rally in Mardan.
"He [Khan] calls himself a leader of the youth. How can he be a leader of the youth? He is older than me. Bilawal is a leader for the young people," he said, referring to his son and PPP chairman.
In what may be a rebuttal to Asif Ali Zardari's speech, Khan said, "this is not the time for personal attacks. The need of the hour is to unite for Pakistan."
"The privileged class of people in Pakistan has a responsibility on its shoulders, to work harder than the common man, for greater good of the country," said the PTI chairman.

Mustafa Khar one of the old associates of ZAB had no future in PPP which should be called Zardari League. Zardari is trying to develop his own dynasty though still on the coattail of Bhuttos . The party is a marginal party reduced to rural Sind. Zardari can't tolerate old PPP stalwarts in PPP.

At this age Khar cannot dilute PTI. All people joining the PTI will have to abide by its manifesto, just like visitors to a country have to abide by its rules. I have seen Pakistani hooligans at their best behaviour abroad.

I think its important to increase the number and ensure PTI can clean swipe. However as a party PTI will stay clean because the leader Imran Khan is clean. No one can make PTI dirty because of its leader. I welcome all and shall wait and watch

ANd Imran Khan has, hence, proven that he is like any other politician. I guess the bigger you get, the smaller your principles become and you are willing to get anyone, even the dirtiest people, on board. Politics is the arena of compromise. Can't expect much from it anyway.

Sad news indeed, as yet another dubious politician with a highly negative reputation , joins PTI. What is Imran Khan up to? Why has he over the last 5- 6 years, accepted so many unsavory characters into his party? The PTI has lost its once-unique position and has become a typical Pakistani party at the whim of unscrupulous people.

IK I am happy, if any lost LOST new member finds a ray of light through PTI. Please encourage everyone to join you. Please do not consider the individual's past, unless he/she proves otherwise. "Everyone who wants to be honest must join PTI"(this is the slogan I use in UK although I had met IK in 1992). I am abroad, but I shall be soon returning to Pakistan to enjoy the honesty of the PTI.

I always thought IK was pretentious, and now he's going out with that high profile feudal character. But, why do you think he is dishonest? Rubbing shoulders with IK will erase all dishonest deeds that chase him since long. Birds of a feather do in deed flock together.

Its good that IK has finally realised the demand of Pakistani Politics to include electable candidates having their own vote bank. He has already missed a lot of NA seats by not selecting Firdous Ashiq, Nabeel Gabol, Faisal Saleh and many more. PTI supporters should also accept this reality to win the next elections.

Mustafa khar who was so close to Bhutto at the time turn his back when Bhutto was in trouble and made a deal to live in exile in London. He should now almost retire himself from politics,the best solution.
