KARACHI: A man was found shot dead in a car in the Garden area on Wednesday morning, Nabi Bux police said.

They added that the body of the man, identified as Atif Nazeer, 40, was found in the vehicle near the Police Headquarters in Garden. He was hit by a single bullet in the head. The body was taken to the Civil Hospital Karachi for a post-mortem examination. The police said the victim was travelling in a rented car. He was a resident of Soldier Bazaar.

The police were treating it as a murder but the exact motive for the killing could not be ascertained immediately.

“The police were trying to get the CCTV footage from the area to ascertain the possible identity of the suspect(s) involved in the murder,” said City SSP Adeel Hussain Chandio.
