LAHORE: Wapda won the final of first Inspector General of Police Volleyball tournament after beating the Army team.

The final was held between Wapda and Army teams at Wapda Sports Complex on Sunday. Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mushtaq Sukhera was chief guest.

The IGP gave trophy and Rs75,000 cash prize to the winning team Wapda, Rs50,000 to runner-up Army and Rs30,000 to Pakistan Navy.

Mr Sukhera told media persons at the concluding ceremony of the tournament that they had successfully provided foolproof security to the Pakistan Super League (PSL) cricket final in the city and could provide security to every international event.
