FAISALABAD, Dec 27: The district council at its meeting here on Saturday condemned attempt on President Pervez Musharraf’s life and offered fateha for those who were killed in the incident.

The participants at the meeting, convened by Raza Nasrullah Ghuman, unanimously passed a resolution against the attack, which they described as a conspiracy against nation.

The district council members also noted that some terrorist organizations had been working to create anarchy in the country because the present regimehad put it on the path to prosperity. They demanded the government that it should take appropriate steps for providing security to the president and the prime minister.

At a special meeting chaired by Mahmood Ali Warraich, the councillors said “it was the most condemnable act by the enemies of peace.”

TOBA TEK SINGH: Criticizing the act, the members of the local council saw it as a conspiracy and an attempt to fail the Saarc summit.
