Pakistan blind cricket team was issued visas on Wednesday by the Indian High Commission for participating in the World T20 Championship in India, Pakistan Blind Cricket Council (PBCC) officials told DawnNews.

The team also got No Objection Certificates (NOCs) from the government, said PBCC General Manager Haroon Yousaf. Indian government has already issued the same.

Pakistan Blind Cricket Council (PBCC) has planned to travel to India on January 28 as the championship begins from January 30.

"The team will receive passports within two days, after which the squad will depart for India on January 28 through Wagah border," he said.

Besides, India and Pakistan, teams from Australia, Bangladesh, England, Nepal, New Zealand, South Africa, Sri Lanka and West Indies would be taking part in the tournament.

Pakistan had named its 17-member squad for the Second T-20 Blind World Cup commencing in India from January 30. Mohammad Jamil will lead the Pakistan team while Anees Javed will be his deputy.

The opening ceremony of the T-20 Blind Cricket World Cup will take place in New Delhi while the final will be played on February 12. Pakistan team will play its first match against New Zealand in Delhi on January 30.
