TIMERGARA: Awami National Party’s central secretary information Zahid Khan on Wednesday alleged that Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf chief Imran Khan and Chief Minister Pervez Khattak were inaugurating old development projects initiated during the previous government.

He was addressing a public meeting at Shago Kas in Lower Dir. Party’s Lower Dir president Hussain Shah and district councillor Mukhtiar Khan also spoke on the occasion.

Zahid Khan said that there was no shortage of funds during the ANP-led previous government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, but the present government was facing financial crisis due to its failed policies.

Zahid Khan claims KP has no salaries for its employees

“We provided natural gas and electricity to parts of Dir. We constructed roads and established schools, colleges and universities during our term,” Zahid Khan said, adding that now the provincial government had no salaries for its employees.

He said that on the one hand JI chief Sirajul Haq was running an anti-corruption campaign, on the other he had kept silence on corruption of his own minister. The ANP spokesman said the PTI chief had also kept silence on corruption of his provincial ministers and chief minister. Over 200 villagers joined ANP on this occasion.

FLOWER SHOW: A week-long exhibition of Gul-i-Dawoodi (chrysanthemum) began at the University of Malakand on Wednesday.

Vice-chancellor Prof Johar Ali and Lower Dir deputy commissioner Irfanullah Wazir inaugurated the exhibition being held at the university’s main campus.

A total of 21 different varieties of chrysanthemum were displayed on this occasion while the visitors appreciated the efforts of the organisers and gardeners.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof Ali said that people, especially students and teachers, should promote such events in the society.

Meanwhile, the Islami Jamiat Tulba on Wednesday arranged a youth peace expo at the Rest House ground here which was attended by students of 40 private and government schools and colleges.

IJT Pakistan nazim Mian Suhaibuddin, MPA Izazul Mulk and notables of the area also visited the expo. The visiting students showed keen interest in different stalls set up on the occasion.
