Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Friday filed a Rs26 billion defamation lawsuit against PTI Chairman Imran Khan, DawnNews reported.
The notices were sent to Khan's residence in Lahore's Zaman Park and Islamabad's Banigala and submitted with the PTI secretariat as well, DawnNews has learnt.
PTI chairman Imran Khan had alleged earlier this week that Javed Sadiq, a Canadian businessman of Pakistani origin and executive director of China State Construction Engineering Corporation, had been acting as front-man for Shahbaz Sharif and had made billions of rupees in commissions.
"He has eaten Rs15 billion, and has an additional Rs26bn by now," Imran claimed. "He is Shahbaz Sharif's front-man. He takes money for Shahbaz Sharif," the PTI chief alleged at the time.
The notices stated that if Khan does not revoke his accusations and apologise, the defamation suit against him would be pursued in full force.

Anyway its time to arrange 2o protests at same time, different locations especially in Islamabad and Rawalpindi , then PMLN wouldn't have a clue where to send his hooligans.

I request to the esteem court that please amend the law of defamation (if any), limit the amount of defamation as every one asking millions billions. The law should be like this, first defamation amount not exceeding 10,000 rupees. second defamation 20,000 rupees, and so so on but the amount should not go beyond 50,000. please think about it.

The PML-N Shareef family has now fallen to its lowest. Everything is money and business for them. He should provide details of his and his family's foreign fortunes made on the billions transferred overseas illegally without accountability to the nation. People must reject such corrupt politicians in favor of honest leadership for Pakistan. The accuser has to prove his accusations. Sensible enough. Imran Khan should face defamation suit and proof that his accusation is correct.

The case should be taken to logical end , if IK has proof of wrongdoings he must take it to court and seek punishment for Shabaz Sharif or simply has made allegations and rhetorics then IK should be taken to task and pay the penalty.
