CHARSADDA: The police claimed on Wednesday to have arrested four high-profile terrorists.

Talking to journalists here, Charsadda District Police Officer Sohail Khalid said the arrested terrorists were involved in Shabqadar courts blast and attack on Bashir Baacha house in Parang.

He said that district police had chalked out a plan to curb firing in air on the eve of Eid, and asked the religious scholars to play their role in this regard. Sohail Khalid said that police had made special security arrangements for Eid and the police personnel, including women constables, had been deployed in bazaars to ensure security of shoppers.

The DPO said that leaves of police personnel had been cancelled to maintain peace on Eid days.
