HYDERABAD: Strong winds coupled with light rain and thunder lashed Hyderabad and its adjoining areas late on Monday evening, inundating low-lying areas and increasing cold in the wake albeit briefly.

No casualty was reported from any area of the city. Rainwater gathered in some low-lying areas mostly because of poor sewerage system.

The light rain with thunder and lightning lasted hardly 10 minutes while strong winds continued for half an hour. Weather turned chilly after the downpour.

It also rained lightly in Matiari, Tando Allahyar and Jamshoro and flooded main roads and low-lying areas.
