DADU: Three children died of gastroenteritis and other diseases at the paediatric ward of the Dadu Civil Hospital on Sunday.

Aijaz Ali Magsi, father of a 20-day-old baby who died along with three-month-old Kamran and four-month-old Imran at the hospital, said that his son suffered from gastroenteritis and chest infection.

He admitted him to the paediatric ward that day but the duty doctor remained absent throughout the day and no other doctor showed up to examine him. As a result, his condition deteriorated and he died, he said.
