LAHORE: Girls bagged five out of the six top positions in the BA, BSc examination 2015, according to an announcement by the Punjab University on Thursday.

Ayesha Khan (roll No 11079) remained overall first by securing 699 marks in BSc, followed by Hafsa (roll No 39354) and Fasahat Fatima (roll No 11818) who got 695 and 675 marks to secure second and third positions.

In BA, Ramla Tayyab (roll No 44505) was declared first with 674 marks. Azhar Ali was the only male among the toppers. He got 664 marks to secure a second position. Umme Kulsoom remained third with 657 marks.

Some 48,582, of 121,658 candidates, appeared in the examinations, showing a pass percentage of 39.93.

Punjab Education Minister Rana Mashud will be the guest of honour at a ceremony being held at the Punjab University’s New Campus on Friday to award medals and certificates to the position holders.
