KARACHI: Aseefa Bhutto-Zardari, Sindh government’s ambassador for polio, visited the Lyari General Hospital on Sunday to review health facilities available to patients in the old city area.

She visited different wards, saw patients and inquired after their health and treatment being provided to them by the hospital management.

She noted the most common reason for children being admitted was malnutrition and pledged to vie for more medical facilities for Lyari. Ms Bhutto-Zardari also met the attendants of the patients waiting outside the hospital and heard their complaints.

She was informed about the difficulties and requirements of the hospital by its administration at which she assured them that she would set up a patients’ welfare society at the LGH for the poor patients.
