SAHIWAL: A known town planner, property and prize bond dealer has gone missing for the last two days, family says.

Mian Zaheer Abbas left his prize bond shop at Jinnah Chowk by his car to make payment to a party but did not return. His younger brother, Sajid Abbas, fears he may have been kidnapped.

Family sources say Mian Zaheer had Rs10.5 million cash on him and he did not reach his destination. His business partner confirmed that he went missing.

“Both his mobile phones have gone silent,” Sajid said and added that the family had reported the matter to the city police station.

A failed attempt was made to snatch cash from Mian Zaheer by three unknown men last month.

City police officials say they are confirming whether he has been kidnapped or gone into hiding.
