LAHORE: The Pakistan People’s Party women wing held a vigil at Liberty Chowk on Saturday to express solidarity with the victims of Peshawar tragedy.

The participants chanted slogans against the Taliban for killing schoolchildren and teachers in an attack on the Army Public School, and demanded the government and the armed forces to rid the country of the menace of terrorism.

Women’s wing Punjab President Belum Hasnain said the next generations would never forget the sacrifices of these schoolchildren. She said the PPP always stood against terrorists and wanted the government to eliminate terrorism from the country once for all.

Addressing a ceremony to remember the Peshawar victims, Adviser to the Chief Minister on Health Khwaja Salman Rafiq said the Peshawar massacre had grieved every Pakistani.

He said the army supported by the government and public would continue its pursuit against terrorists till their complete elimination and the war against terror would be carried on till the existence of the last terrorist.
