SIALKOT: Commerce Minister Khurram Dastagir Khan has said that the government is revamping the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) to make it efficient and effective.
He stated this while addressing a meeting of business community at Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) on Saturday.
The minister said the TDAP was being modernised to enable the country’s trade and export sectors to meet the international trade challenges under the prevailing WTO regime.Khurram revealed that the government was also revamping the infrastructure and mechanism of the Export Development Fund (EDF).
He said that the government is keen to further liberalise trade. The minister urged exporters of the city to focus on the diversification of products and markets. He said that the GSP+ status for Pakistan will expire in July 2023.
