Shameful act, same qualities as that of Fazl ur Rehman. These people are not leaders. They are using religion for their own benefit. Government should not let it go by just disqualifying him rather he should be prosecuted and put behind bars.

I think formal education should not be a prerequisite for getting elected as a peoples representative.some times people with no formal education are far better than people holding university degrees.

This is not justice by only disqualifying him !. Election Tribunal should order recovery of all expenses on the election by all candidates on the election and expenses of re-election and case of cheating should be registered against him and he should be barred for life for elections.

I strongly feel that a minimum degree qualification requirement should be introduced again in the election system. To be in a top position in a company like a CEO or President, isn't he required to have a minimum qualification to ensure he can manage the company from that level. But to run the country we are allowing anyone to come in the assemblies who do not have a clue what is micro or macro economics, what is finance and banking or taxation system in the country. Each ministerial position should have a minimum same background education and experience. Finance Minister to have a financial education background, petroleum minister should have a background in the oil industry, Law minister should have a Law education etc etc. Isn't it?

Disqualifying is not jut enough. They enjoyed salaries and perks and ofcourse ( secret funds from PML(N) ) . These must be returned to government exchequer and they should be jailed until the case is settled. There should be a law to put the fake degree legislators behind the bars. JUI(F) in fact a regligious painted party who always want ministries and Prados.

@susheel , you are right, formal education should not stop people for being elected, but if the rules state that he should be a graduate, then he should not deceive people.

For 15 months we had an illegitimate parliamentarian. The key point is why election commission allowed his candidacy in the first place? People who scrutinized his papers should be sacked and punished.
