SHEIKHUPURA: Five people, including two women, were killed while seven other sustained injuries in rain-related incidents in Sheikhupura and Nankana Sahib districts on Friday.

Khatoon Bibi and her grand daughter Asma died in Kot Pindi Das when the roof of their dilapidated house collapsed.

In neighbourhood Kyara Sahib in Nankana Sahib, Yasmin Bibi, 38, died when she touched an electric pole in the street.

In Ladu Wana in Nankana Sahib, Kaleemullah was electrocuted while switching on an electric fodder cutter. Nemat Masih died in village Gharyal near Narang Mandi when the roof of his house caved in due to torrential rains. Najeebullah died in Kot Sondha when the boundary wall of his house collapsed and fell on him. Seven people were injured in as many incidences of roof collapse.
