Date palm festival

KHAIRPUR: The 6th date palm festival would be held on Aug 23 and 24 in Khairpur, Sukkur Commissioner Abbas Baloch announced on Thursday.

Presiding over a meeting in the Khairpur deputy commissioner’s office, the commissioner said the event, featuring a seminar, would be inaugurated by Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah on Saturday and MNA Nafisa Shah would the chief guest at the concluding ceremony the next day.—Correspondent
