SARGODHA: As many as 484 people were killed in incidents of robbery, enmity and police encounters while 148 lost their lives in road accidents in four districts of Sargodha division during the last year.
The police of Sargodha, Bhakkar, Mianwali and Khushab district claimed recovery of 314kg heroin, 590kg charas and 11kg opium during 2013.
The police record shows 21,142 cases were registered in the region, including 468 cases of murder, 1,354 of theft, 836 of highway robbery, 541 of water theft, 152 of dacoity, 84 of car lifting, 537 of motorcycle lifting, 521 of cattle lifting.
