ATTOCK, June 30: A man killed his father-in-law over a family dispute at Jalalia Village, and two motorcyclists died in a road accident in Fatehjang, the police said here on Sunday.

According to sources, Mohammad Bilal Khan reported to the Hazro Police that his sister had been residing at her parent’s house for the past 15 months after relations with her husband, Shahid Mehmood, deteriorated over a family dispute.

Since then, Mehmood had been pressing for his wife’s return, but her father refused to do so, at which Mehmood threatened them. On Saturday night, Mehmood allegedly attacked his father-in-law Mohammad Akram, who died on the spot.

Upon receiving information, the local police rushed to the scene and shifted the body to the tehsil headquarters hospital Hazro before handing it over to the relatives.

They registered a murder case against Mehmood, and further investigation is underway.

Meanwhile, two motorcyclists died in a road accident at the Khor-Pindigheb Road.

Mohammad Farooq and Mohammad Zafar were on their bike when a speeding car collided with them near Nothian Village.

As a result, Farooq died on the spot, while Zafar sustained serious injuries and succumbed to them after being rushed to a local hospital.

The Fatehjang police registered a case against the car’s driver, who escaped from the scene leaving the vehicle behind.
