RAWALPINDI: More than 300 people attacked a green bus and damaged its windowpanes besides injuring a passenger at the Chaklala bus stand.

Abdul Qadir Ali Hussain, who is working as captain with the green bus service, lodged an FIR with the

police, stating that he was driving the bus (EV-003) from Koral to Fawara Chowk.

He said as the bus reached the Chaklala bus stand at about 7:30pm, about 300 to 400 people, including some youngsters doing one-wheeling, attacked the bus.

On observing the situation, as he turned the bus on the fast track, the suspects, who were carrying batons and stones, attacked the bus.

As a result, one of the passengers was injured and window glasses of the bus were damaged.

The injured was shifted to hospital after being given first aid.

The police have registered an FIR under relevant sections of the law and launched an investigation.
