KARACHI, April 19: Hamdard University (HU), Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology (SZABIST) and Ziauddin University (ZU) registered victories in the 10th AKU Inter-university Football Tournament at the AKU Football Ground here on Thursday. HU edged past Iqra University 1-0, the goal scored by Sir Syed Ahmed Khan in the 49th minute.
SZABIST beat Jinnah Medical and Dental College (JMDC) 3-0. The goals for the winners were scored by Moid Khan (ninth min) and Hassan Zia (12th and 15th mins).
Finally, ZU beat Baqai Medical University 1-0 with the winning goal being scored in the very first minute of the game by Asad Sheikh.
