ISLAMABAD: A man was killed and two others injured, police said on Friday.

The incident took place at Ghori Town after a man and three of his sons responded to a call regarding a scuffle between the man’s daughter and her husband.

The man, who is a naib qasid, went to Ghori Town where he and his sons exchanged harsh words with his son-in-law and his brother. Later they attacked each other with batons. Two of the man’s sons and another man, Hamid, from the other party, were injured. They were shifted to a hospital where Hamid died.

The naib qasid told the police he received a call from his son-in-law asking him to come and take his daughter away, as he had divorced her. The police, however, suspected the call was actually made by the man’s daughter and not his son-in-law. The man, two of his sons and his daughter were arrested.
