ISLAMABAD, March 12 President Asif Ali Zardari on Friday appointed seven additional judges in the Peshawar High Court (PHC), for a period of one year, with effect from the date they take the oath of their offices.

Following are the names of newly appointed additional judges of PHC Yahya Afridi, Ziaur Rehman Khan, Imtiaz Ali, Syed Sajjad Hussain Shah, Sher Muhammad Khan, Abdul Samad Khan and Sardar Shaukat Hayat.

Spokesman for the president Farhatullah Babar said that the appointments had been made on the advice of the prime minister and under Article 197 of the Constitution. —Correspondent
