Civil society pays tribute to Benazir

LAHORE, Dec 25 Scores of civil society members paid a tribute to the late Benazir Bhutto and lit candles at Charing Cross here on Friday.

The participants hailed Benazir Bhutto for her political and social services for the people, especially the poor and women segments of society.

The civil society also paid a tribute to all those people, including policemen, army men, media persons, who lost their lives in terrorist attacks in the country.

They condemned terrorism in all its forms, and said terrorists had no religion and belief.

Reiterating their resolve to stay firm in the fight against terrorism and extremism, they said a handful of terrorists could not shake their morale.—APP
