LARKANA, April 4: Three members of a family were found dead in mysterious circumstances in the locality of Ali Goharabad on Friday night.

They were identified as Nazeer Ahmed, 40, his wife, Afroz, 35, and their son, Mansoor, 14.

The ASP, city, Mohammed Alam Shinwari, told this correspondent that some people had sneaked into their house and had left after strangulating all three. The bodies of the woman and her son were found in one room, while that of the man in another.

Police said that the criminals had strangulated them with a rope, and added that injuries made from a sharp weapon were found on the abdomen of the woman.

The ASP said that perhaps they were killed late Thursday night and the killers before leaving had locked the house from outside, and added that the victims’ relatives became suspicious when they received no answer on knocking at their door several times.

Nazeer’s brother, Basheer Ahmed Shaikh, had informed the police about the incident.

Police immediately cordoned off the area and started investigating.
