SUKKUR: Housewife killed

SUKKUR, March 17: Eighteen-year-old Jannat was shot dead by her husband and his two brothers on the pretext of Karo-kari in Ghotki on Monday.

Jannat and Beerbal Mehar had married three month back. Beerbal had paid Rs50,000 to Abdul Ghafoor Shaikh, the father of Jannat, for the marriage.

The police registered a case against Beerbal Mehar, Adam Mehar and Hashim Mehar.

ACCIDENT: A passenger of the Lahore-bound Shalimar Express was killed on Monday when he fell down and run over by the train between Khairpur and Rohri railway stations.

The man killed was identified as Raza Mohammad, a resident of Sahiwal.
