Upgrading Larkana airport

Published March 23, 2010

LARKANA is easily accessible to Balochistan, southern Punjab and to even some southwestern areas of the NWFP. The whole region is inhabited by more than 35 per cent of the population of the country.

For going abroad, the people of these regions need to travel to their respective provincial capitals, which takes from six to nine hours. Thousands of people travel the same distance every day.

This distance can be shortened by two to eight hours for all the people in the region by converting Moenjodaro airport into an international flights terminal.

By doing so we can save much time and travelling expenses of the people.

President Asif Ali Zardari is requested to upgrade Larkana airport to an international one.
