MIRAMSHAH, March 17 Pilotless American aircraft attacked vehicles and a residential compound used by militants in North Waziristan on Wednesday, killing 10 insurgents, three of them foreigners.

Local people said five missiles struck two vehicles in the morning in Hamzoni village, killing five militants and injuring two, all of them belonging to the Mehsud tribe.

In another attack about an hour later, the drones slammed two missiles into a pick-up and a compound in Maizer Madakhel, killing five militants, two of them foreigners.

Official sources said that more than five pilotless planes, flying at low altitude, carried out the attacks.

Our correspondent adds from Wana Suspected militants blew up the examination hall of a government school near Wana on Tuesday night. After the attack, the centre for matric exams was moved to the Frontier Corps camp in Wana.

Political Agent Shahab Ali Shah said that the examinations would go ahead in accordance with the schedule.
