LAHORE: As many as 3,000 Indian Sikh yatrees arrived in  Pakistan on Wednesday to participate in the celebrations of the Besakhi festival.

The yatrees who arrived at the Wagah border were welcomed by president of Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee Sardar Sham Singh and Senior officials of ETPB

Deputy Secretary Shrines Syed Faraz Abbas said that the yatrees would visit the gurdwaras in Hassanabdal, Nankana Sahib and Lahore during their 10-days stay in Pakistan.

The yatrees have arrived on a visit to Gurdwara Panja Sahib from April 10 to 13 and reach Gurdwara Janamasthan on April 13.

Abbas further said that the yatrees would go to Sacha Soda, Farooqabad on April 13 and leave for Lahore on April 16, he added.

He said that to insure the safety of yatrees, walkthrough gates and surveillance cameras would be installed at the gurdwaras.
