THE All Pakistan Newspapers Society (APNS) has rejected the Press, Newspapers, News Agencies and Books Registration Rules 2013 framed by the federal Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, giving the Press Registrar arbitrary powers to disqualify a publisher or refuse to authenticate a declaration.
The APNS executive committee, says a press release, termed the rules a negation of the Registration of Newspapers Ordinance 2002.
