LARKANA: Two women die in accident

LARKANA, Jan 20: Two women were killed and two others were injured after collision between a Karachi-bound coach (C-1648) and a Raiwind-bound wagon on the outskirts of Ratodero, some 50 kilometres from here.

The names of the persons, who died in the accident are: Nargis, 35, wife of Mohammad Ashraf and Shazia Parveen, 27, wife of Maulana Mohammad Ehsan, both residents of Gujranwala.

The injured, who have been identified as Nusrat, wife of Mohammed Yusuf and Mohammed Ashraf, are being treated at the Chandka Medical College Teaching Hospital, Larkana.

The police said that the deceased and the injured persons belong to the Tabligee Jamaat.

Both the vehicles have been impounded but the drivers of both the vehicles managed to escape, police officials added.

In another accident, a four-year-old girl, Sitara was killed after being run over by a Karachi-bound coach near the Janiband area on the Indus Highway, some 60 kilometres away from here.

Yet in another incident, three school students were seriously injured after being hit by a truck coming from Shahdadkot near the Selra village.

The injured were identified as Aijaz Mahesar, Shamasuddin and Abdul Khalique of the Ratodero Government High School.
