KARACHI, Feb 7: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) directed the principal of Aitchison College Lahore on Thursday to provide required documents of Shahrukh Jatoi, a prime suspect in Shahzeb murder case, to police.

Shahrukh Jatoi, Nawab Siraj Ali Talpur, his younger brother Nawab Sajjad Ali Talpur and their house servant Ghulam Murtaza Lashari have been booked for allegedly killing 20-year-old Shahzeb in Defence Housing Authority on the night of Dec 24.

The investigating officer (IO) submitted an application in the court and stated that the prime suspect was a student of Aitchison College and on the directives of court, he had approached the college principal through emails and letters requesting him to provide some documents of the suspect regarding determination of his age. However, no response had so far been received, the IO said and prayed the court to direct the administration of the college in question to make available the necessary documents.

Judge Ghulam Mustafa Memon of ATC-III directed the principal of the college to provide the required documents of Shahrukh to the IO without any delay.

Currently, Shahrukh is in juvenile prison as a report of a medical board to determine his age is likely to be submitted in court on Feb 11 while the remaining suspects are in the central prison.

A case (FIR No.591/12) was lodged under Section 302 (punishment for premeditated murder), 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modestly), 109 (abetment) and 34 (common intention) of Pakistan Penal Code on the complaint of deceased’s father Aurangzeb, a deputy superintendent of police, at Darakshan police station.
