SWABI, Jan 11: An Afghan refugee was killed over old enmity here the other day, police said.

They said that body of the victim, Azizullah Khan, was found dumped on Batakara road. They said that the body had been handed over to the family after legal formalities. Later, the victim’s relatives registered an FIR with Topi city police station and nominated Nadar Khan of Kohistan in the killing case.

Meanwhile, police conducted a search operation in Gandaf Afghan refugee and Barakai camps on Thursday and detained some refugees. Officials did not disclose the exact number of arrested Afghans, but said that they had been taken to the district headquarters for interrogation.—Correspondent
