LAHORE, Dec 31: A special judicial magistrate on Monday sent an assistant director of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to jail on judicial remand owing to his involvement in Afghan refugees passport scam.
Case investigating officer of the FIA told the court magistrate that interrogation had been completed and further physical remand of the accused was not required. He requested the court to send the accused on judicial remand. The FIA officer was accused of helping 11 Afghan refugees get Pakistani passports. — Staff Reporter
