RAWALPINDI, Nov 1: The cantonment police took two army officers into custody on Thursday night after recovering narcotics from their car in Saddar area, police said.

Inspector Sheikh Waqar, who is investigating the case, said two police personnel of Muhafiz Squad signalled the car AKL-414 to stop and found charas on its dashboard.

The suspects were taken to the police station.

“One of the detained men identified himself as Lieutenant Attique Ahmed and the other as Captain Taimoor,” the inspector said, adding they were handed over to the Military Police.

The MP personnel had visited the police station, he said.

A report was lodged with the cantonment police.
