LAHORE, Oct 19: Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Friday phoned Mumtaz Ali Bhutto and discussed the current political scene of Sindh.

Both the leaders also discussed the options for enhancing contacts with anti-PPP forces in Sindh to give the party a tough time in the next elections, says a brief statement issued after the phone call here.

It quoted both the leaders as agreeing to taking along nationalist parties in the proposed anti-PPP alliance.

They also decided to start election campaign in the Sindh province by holding a public meeting in Naudero, the stronghold of the PPP.

Various strategies for contesting elections in NA-207, the constituency of Nawabshah from where President Asif Zardari’s sister Feryal Talpur had been elected, were also discussed. —  Staff Reporter
