Army can face any threat: Musharraf

KARACHI, Dec 31: President Gen Pervez Musharraf has declared that the Pakistan army is fully capable of frustrating any malicious designs of the enemy.

He was addressing officers and jawans at Chhor Cantonment, says a press release of the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) here on Tuesday.

The president urged the officers to concentrate more on their training and achieve still higher standards.

Gen Musharraf said Pakistan army was trained and equipped to repulse any aggression by the enemy and if war was thrust upon the country, it fully possessed the capability to end such a conflict on a ‘favourable note’.

He stated that he felt fully confident of their capability to repel any misadventure from across the border.—APP
