Published December 28, 2002

SANGHAR, Dec 27: Two men were kidnapped late Wednesday night from the Jafar Khan Leghari village in the jurisdiction of Sinjhoro police station.

Mehboob Ali Laghari and his younger brother, Riaz Ali Lag-hari, were believed to have been kidnapped by Mumtaz Marri and Illahi Bakhsh Khoso while they had gone to irrigate their lands. Their colleagues had informed the victims’ relatives about their disappearance when they did not return for a long time.

The police were informed about the incident and trackers found footprints of five or six men and marks of dragging.

The villagers and police tried to track the footprints but lost them near Dilore near the Mubarak Majidano village on Sanghar-Tando Adam road.

The people have been terrified because of the rising incidence of crime, specially kidnappings for ransom.
