RAWALPINDI, May 31: Two women were deprived of cash and gold jewellery by motorbike riders while two other families were robbed of gold ornaments valuing Rs1.5 million and cash Rs400,000 by the gunmen in different parts of the city, police said on Thursday.

Talat Ilyas, the resident of Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Phase 1, was robbed of Rs52,000 and ATM card by two motorbike riders while she along with her daughter was shopping in a local market.

Qaisar Iqbal, the resident of R.A. Bazaar complained to the police that he was at home when three arned men enter the house and made off with  Rs150,000 gold jewellery weighing 20 tolas, two costly wrist watches and three cellphones .

Zafar Ehsansaid that three robbers entered his house and took away Rs250,000 in cash .

None of the robbers was captured by the police.
