LAHORE, May 29: The Federal Investigation Agency on Tuesday arrested a man in connection with Rs50million postal office scam.

The FIA’s anti-corruption wing Assistant Director Jamil Ajmal Khan told Dawn that the accused assistant postmaster Aslam Qureshi, clerks Sohail Riaz, Muhammad Usman and Israr Ahmed, along with three other officials would draw amounts through fake vouchers.

He said FIA on Tuesday raided the house of an accused, Daud, and arrested him.

The FIA had already arrested four of the accused while three clerks, Azam Khan, Javed Khalid and Khateeb Hashmi were absconding.
