My hands were tired as I held on to the shopping bags and my hair was all messed up. I stood there outside the mall. My mom was running late because she was caught in a traffic jam, so I had to catch a taxi home.

I couldn’t even lift a finger as the bags were so heavy. “Why do I get carried away at sales?’’ I whispered to myself. Just then a taxi, as white as snow, appeared out of nowhere. The headlights gleamed as it stood before me.

“Phew” I thanked God and walked towards it. I noticed that the taxi had something very different about as it stood out from the rest of the cars and cabs.

The door to the taxi opened itself and a sweet scent filled the air, but I couldn’t see anything because the inside of it was too dark. I felt a shiver run through my bones but I wanted to get rid of the bags in my hands so I hopped in. When I sat back to rest on the seat, I sunk onto the extremely soft and cozy cushion.

“Relaxing isn’t it?” I heard the soft voice of a man. Suddenly a bunch of disco lights turned on and fast music played. It was all so strange “What’s this all about?” I asked in a shaky voice. “You’re the lucky one ma’am,” the man called out in a funny southern accent.

I didn’t understand him, I told him that I had to get home because I didn’t want to miss the episode of my favorite TV serial. To my surprise, he said that we could not make it because of the traffic jam.

“But I need to get home,” I urged.

“Are you sure?” he asked. He sounded so weird and a wicked grin lightened up his face.

“Yes, I do.” I snapped back. ‘Which taxi drivers ask people if they’re sure about where they want to go or in how long they need to get there?’ I thought to myself.

“No worries,” he smiled, and with that the taxi lifted up and before I knew it, we were floating in the air and wings grew outside the door. We flew across the city. I couldn’t believe it; the taxi had turned into an airplane! I could see the lights of the city below me and the rest of the cars looked like ants.

“What are you?” I laughed and added, “Harry Potter?”
