KARACHI, April 9: A policeman posted at the Kalri police station was gunned down on the Mauripur road late on Monday night.
According to police sources, Constable Raj Mohammad, 32, was checking police deployment in the area when armed men on a motorcycle opened fire on him. He suffered a bullet wound in the head and died on the spot.
The deceased was a resident of Nazimabad area and hailed from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Earlier in the day, two activists of the Pakistan People Party were killed in two separate incidents.
Younis Pathan was shot dead on the Abul Hasan Isphani Road and Mukhtiar Shah in his private school in Saeedabad.
At least, eight PPP workers have been killed in the city since April 1.
