Robber killed

ISLAMABAD, March 20: An alleged robber was killed after being hit by a bullet fired by his accomplices on Tuesday.

The police said four armed persons held four labourers of nearby stone crushing site at gunpoint. However one labourer, Jamil, overpowered one of the robbers. At this the other robbers opened fire to get their accomplice released, injuring him and the labourers.

On hearing the gunshots, people of nearby area rushed to the area forcing the robbers to escape. The police  shifted the injured to the hospital where the robber, identified as Rizwan, was pronounced dead. — Staff Reporter
